Frequently Asked Questions

  • Breathalyzer screening at check-in is required by Arlington Public Schools as part of maintaining a safe, substance-free event. This is a standard precaution used to ensure all students enter the event sober so everyone can enjoy a safe and supervised celebration.

  • Students who do not pass the breathalyzer will not be permitted to enter the event. A parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pick-up. No refunds will be issued. There are no exceptions to this policy.

  • Donations support the event as a whole, while tickets cover part of an individual student’s cost to attend. The actual cost per student exceeds the ticket price, so both donations and ticket purchases are necessary to fund the event.

  • Last Blast is a parent-run event with specific safety rules and expectations. A parent/guardian signature is required for all attendees to ensure families are aware of and support those expectations. This applies to all students, regardless of age, to maintain consistency and accountability.

  • Overnight volunteers are limited to parents/guardians who do not have students in the senior class. This helps ensure consistent supervision and allows seniors to fully enjoy the event with their peers.

  • No. Once a student enters Last Blast, they are expected to remain at the event for the duration of the night. No refunds will be issued. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and supervision of all attendees.

  • If a student must leave early, a parent/guardian will be contacted and must arrange pick up, regardless of the student’s age. Re-entry is not permitted and tickets will not be refunded.

  • Tickets are non-refundable. The event requires significant upfront costs and planning based on attendance.

  • Last Blast is not funded by the school. It is organized and funded by parent volunteers through donations and ticket sales. Ticket purchases are essential to covering the cost of the event.

  • Yes. Last Blast is staffed by parent volunteers and follows safety guidelines set in coordination with Arlington Public Schools to ensure a secure environment for all students

  • Students will be given clear bags, and can only bring in their clear bag. In that bag, may bring limited personal items. All bags are subject to inspection at check-in to help maintain a safe, substance-free environment. If anything like medication is required, please let us know beforehand via email at ahslastblast@gmail.com.

  • T-shirts are ordered in advance based on early ticket sales. After the deadline, sizes and quantities are limited and cannot be guaranteed.
